Learn the DOT's hazmat shipping reliefs, requirements, and restrictions for "Consumer Commodities". These may include: paint, solvents, cleaners, janitorial supplies, automobile and equipment maintenance supplies, fuels and fuel additives, and much more.

You will learn what can be shipped as a consumer commodity, packaging requirements and options, how consumer commodities must be marked and labeled, and special rules that apply and additional reliefs that may be available under special conditions.

This course teaches the specific requirements that shipments must meet in order to comply with the consumer commodity exception. Students will learn:

• Communication requirements, including special requirements for air shipments of consumer commodities;
