Serious injury to human health and the environment can result from failing to properly manage hazardous waste. Penalties for non-compliance are now as high as $37,500 per day, per violation. In addition, the U.S. EPA requires annual RCRA training for all large quantity generator (LQG) personnel involved in the safe storage of hazardous waste (RCRA Training FAQ).
This operations-level online program is designed to help meet the EPA training mandates for large quantity generators (40 CFR 262.34(a)) and universal waste handlers (40 CFR 273.36). Upon completion, students will know how to correctly store RCRA hazardous waste, universal waste, and used oil.
