The U.S. DOT requires those who offer hazardous materials for transport receive hazmat training once every three years, as outlined in 49 CFR 172.704(a). Civil penalties for hazmat violations are now up to $50,000 per day, per incident and $100,000 per day, per incident if the incident results in serious injury, illness, death, or property damage.
This course is designed to satisfy the U.S. DOT "general and security awareness" and "function-specific" training mandates for hazmat offerors. After completing this course, employees will be prepared to safely offer hazmat for transportation, have an understanding of general packaging and placarding requirements, and be able to recognize and respond to security threats.
Registration includes an easy-to-download compliance notebook, along with Lion's top-notch reference materials.
