Web Seminar FAQ
How do Lion web seminars work?
Our web seminars are presented live by an expert Lion instructor. The presentation slides are viewed online, and audio is delivered through a phone connection.
What do I need to connect?
To connect to a web seminar, you need only a computer with an active Internet connection and a phone line to receive audio.
How do I ask a question during the web seminar?
Because phone lines are often muted to reduce background noise during web seminar presentations, questions can be asked through a chat box available to all attendees. Questions can be directed to the presenter only, to maintain students' privacy.
What time does my web seminar start?
Each web seminar page on Lion.com lists the start time of upcoming sessions. Upon registering for a Lion web seminar, you will receive a confirmation e-mail that includes the start time of the seminar, as well as instructions for testing your PC and logging in to participate.
How is testing done for web seminars?
For web seminars that include testing, a Lion representative will send the certification quiz by e-mail near the end of the web seminar. Quizzes will be completed at Lion.com, and upon successful completion, you will receive an e-mail detailing how to access and print your Certificate of Achievement.
Do I still get a certificate if my web seminar does not include a quiz?
Some of our web seminars are presented for informational purposes, and therefore do not include testing. This includes Lion's Preparing for OSHA's New GHS Rule Web Seminar, among others. For informational web seminars, a Lion representative will send a Certificate of Attendance by e-mail to each registered attendee upon successful completion of the seminar.
What if I need to cancel?
If you need to cancel, we ask that you inform us no less than 6 days before the date of the web seminar. If notification is received less than 6 days before the date of the web seminar, a fee of 20% of the web seminar cost will be applied. If no notification is received, no refund will be granted.
