IMDG Hazmat Vessel Shipper Training

The International Maritime Organization (IMO) requires vessel shippers complete training within “a timeframe deemed appropriate by a competent authority” [IMDG 1.3.1.4]. Therefore, in the U.S., the 3-year re-training standard set by the Department of Transportation applies to those who ship by sea.
