Course Details

This IATA DGR training will help satisfy function-specific training mandates for professionals who are responsible for compliance with domestic or international hazmat/dangerous goods (DG) air shipping regulations. Lion's training is designed for personnel in categories 1, 2, 3, and 4 as defined in the IATA DGR in Table 1.5A.

IATA requires re-training every 24 months (IATA DGR 1.5). Major air carriers, including UPS and FedEx, require compliance with the latest edition of the IATA DGR.

We strongly recommend completing Hazmat Ground Shipper Certification (DOT) training to learn the US regulations before you enroll in IATA DGR training.

The Hazmat Ground Shipper Certification (DOT) course covers critical requirements from US DOT's Hazardous Materials Regulations (HMR) that shippers in the United States must know to ship by any mode, including air. This Hazmat Air Shipper Certification training covers additional, international regulations that apply to air shipments only.

  • Ensure full acceptance of packages on passenger or cargo aircraft, as allowed.
