CDGP Certification Prep Course FAQs

What is CDGP?

CDGP is a global standard for hazmat/DG professionals administered/created by the Institute of Hazardous Materials Management (IHMM) and the Dangerous Goods Trainers Association (DGTA).
The CDGP Exam tests your knowledge of international dangerous goods regulations, i.e., the UN Model Regulations, the IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations, the ICAO Technical Instructions (TI), and the IMDG Code.

Do I have to take the exam?

This course is for professionals interesting in obtaining the CDGP credential. To earn the credential, you must complete and pass the exam. If you don’t want the credential, we recommend attending a comprehensive dangerous goods training program like the Complete Multimodal Hazmat Shipper Certification Workshops.

Will this course satisfy 49 CFR, IATA, or IMDG hazmat training mandates?

No. This course is not designed to satisfy hazmat training mandates in 49 CFR, the IATA DGR, or the IMDG Code. This CDGP prep course focuses on the CDGP Exam to prepare you for success.
