When hazardous materials are loaded incorrectly, serious injuries and incidents often result. It's essential that employees understand the requirements for proper hazmat loading. Training is mandatory for all employees who load or unload hazmat and who can affect its safe transport. Civil penalties for hazmat violations are now up to $79,976 per day, per incident and $186,610 per day, per incident that results in serious injury, illness, death, or property damage.
This course is designed to satisfy the US DOT's "general and security awareness" and "function-specific" training mandates for employees who load or unload hazmat in bulk or non-bulk quantities. After completing this course, employees will recognize DOT-regulated hazardous materials, be ready to safely load and unload hazmat from motor vehicles, and can select and affix the correct hazmat placards.
Registration includes an easy-to-download compliance notebook, along with Lion's top-notch reference materials.
