The U.S. EPA Uniform Hazardous Waste Manifest is an essential document used by the EPA, DOT, and states to ensure the proper transport and disposal of hazardous waste. It is critical that the manifest accurately reflects the hazards of material since it is the sole document used by emergency responders. Errors on the manifest may result in a DOT inspection. Manifests must be saved for three years, and inspectors often review past manifests to ensure compliance with the regulations.
This online course is designed to provide instruction on how to prepare the U.S. EPA Uniform Hazardous Waste Manifest (40 CFR 262 Subpart B, 40 CFR 264/265 Subpart E). It also covers the rules for manifest tracking, reporting, and recordkeeping. Students who complete this course will know how the manifest works, what information is needed to complete the manifest, and the manifest administration requirements. Hazardous waste shippers will need additional "hazmat employee" training to meet the US DOT requirements.
Registration includes Lion's expert online training curriculum, downloadable notebooks, online tutorials, online help, and downloadable Certificate of Achievement.
