Reminder: Deadline for LQGs, SQGs to Create e-Manifest Accounts

US EPA is reminding hazardous waste generators about the requirement to register and maintain an account in the RCRAInfo online portal to comply with regulations for e-Manifests, namely the Third e-Manifest Rule finalized in Summer 2024.

The Third e-Manifest Final Rule mandates that, as of the effective date of January 22, 2025, large quantity generators and small quantity generators create accounts in the RCRAInfo portal for accessing electronic hazardous waste manifests. 

EPA sent the reminder in an email titled New Registration Requirements for Large and Small Quantity Generators on Friday, December 13. The e-mail included several links to information on EPA's website about the e-Manifest rule and how to create a RCRAInfo account, and an e-Manifest rule compliance checklist.

New Registration Requirements for Large and Small Quantity Generators

Beginning January 22, 2025, Large and Small Quantity Generators (LQGs and SQGs) are required to register and maintain an account in RCRAInfo to meet the new regulatory changes made by the e-Manifest Third Final Rule.
