How do I register for an online course?
Online

Phone:
Call 973-383-0800, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. ET, and our Registration Staff will be happy to help you.
How are CEUs awarded?
Continuing Education Credits are based on the number of instructor hours offered in each workshop. The system records 0.1 CEU for every hour of instruction. Online training CEUs are based on the estimated amount of time to complete the course.
What course materials are included?
Students will have access to online resources required for their training. Links are provided from the online course interface. Some courses carry a complimentary one-year membership, which allows access to additional online resources and reference materials.
What are my payment options?
For immediate access to online training, you can pay by Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover.
You can also select the "purchase order" option or print out the page of completed registration information during checkout and submit your order by fax or mail. Look for the option at the end of the order process to print your order and pay "offline." If you choose either of these options, a customer service representative will contact you by phone to discuss payment.
Students signing up for online training courses will not have access to their courses until we have verified receipt of payment.
When will I receive my invoice?
Original invoices and credit card receipts are mailed after your credit card is charged. If you need a receipt immediately, please let us know at the time of registration.
Why is there a limit for completing an online training course?
Our online courses are most effective when taken within the timeframes we allow for the program. Prolonging the course completion period reduces the continuity of course content and lowers retention ability, making your online training experience less effective. Extending the course completion period increases your risk of falling out of compliance with training mandates.*
*Note: The U.S. DOT requires initial training within 90 days of employment and recurrent training within three years of your most recent DOT training. The EPA requires that large quantity generators and TSDFs repeat their RCRA hazardous waste training annually.
What do I do if my presentation doesn't start?
This has several possible causes:
- If you get a blue screen and you can see the Flash logo in the background of the window, then you probably need to clear your browser's cache.
- If cleaning out your browser's cache doesn't work, your company may be filtering multimedia files at the firewall. You can check with your IT/IS department to see if the firewall settings allow for Flash and MP3 audio files. Files ending with .swf and .mp3 must be allowed into your system to complete your training. If the filtering is based on IP address, Lion's presentations stream from the address 64.21.6.10.
- If this still doesn't work, please check with your IT support staff to verify that you do not access the Internet through a caching proxy server. If you do, ask your IT support staff to ensure that content from 64.21.6.10 is not cached.
Can I make copies of training materials for other employees?
No. Training materials included with your online course are for the personal use of the student only. Distribution of Lion course materials to any individuals other than yourself is a direct violation of Lion Technology's terms and conditions accepted at the time of registration.
Why can't I print my course certificate?
Online training certificates are available when the student completes all course lessons, the course exam, and the online course evaluation. Check that you have completed each of these steps.
If you have finished all lessons and the quiz but still cannot print your certificate, try clicking the "recalculate" button on the course home page.
