12. How long do I have to finish a course? How long do I have to complete the course before it expires?
Access times for our online courses are determined by the number of CEUs awarded for successful completion of the program. Courses awarding fewer than 0.5 CEUs allow access for 30 days. Courses awarding more than 0.5 CEUs allow 60 days of access.

13. Why is there a limit for completing an online training course?
Our online courses are most effective when taken within the timeframes we allow for the program. Prolonging the course completion period reduces the continuity of course content and lowers retention ability, making your online training experience less effective. Extending the course completion period increases your risk of falling out of compliance with training mandates.*
*Note: The U.S. DOT requires initial training within 90 days of employment and recurrent training within three years of your most recent DOT training. The EPA requires that large quantity generators and TSDFs repeat their RCRA hazardous waste training annually.

14. I log in, but when I click on the course title, nothing happens. What causes this?
You probably have a pop-up blocker installed on your computer. You will need to disable it while running Lion's online training. Lion's training opens multiple windows to display your online training content. You may need to contact your IT/IS department to make this simple adjustment.

15. I log in, but when I click on the course title, the screen indicates that I need to log in. Why doesn't it recognize my login?
This usually occurs if your browser is not allowing cookies. Depending on which browser version you are running, this option can usually be accessed via the top toolbar in your browser window.
For Internet Explorer Version 6.0:
Tools > Internet Options > Privacy
For Netscape Version 7.2:
Edit > Preferences > Privacy & Security > Cookies
If changing these settings still doesn't solve the problem, it may indicate that your company is utilizing a corporate firewall that is not allowing your login. Another possibility is that your company is connecting to the Internet through a proxy server that is stripping cookies.
Both of these instances will require you to contact your IT/IS department; you may need to get proper approval for them to change you computer. Feel free to call us for an extension if this process takes a while.

16. What do I do if my presentation doesn't start?
This has several possible causes:
- If you get a blue screen and you can see the Flash logo in the background of the window, then you probably need to clear your browser's cache. See "How do I clean out my browser's cache?"
- If cleaning out your browser's cache doesn't work, your company may be filtering multimedia files at the firewall. You can check with your IT/IS department to see if the firewall settings allow for Flash and MP3 audio files. Files ending with .swf and .mp3 must be allowed into your system to complete your training. If the filtering is based on IP address, Lion's presentations stream from the address 64.21.6.10.
- If this still doesn't work, please check with your IT support staff to verify that you do not access the Internet through a caching proxy server. If you do, ask your IT support staff to ensure that content from 64.21.6.10 is not cached.

17. Why is the final window not closing?
Usually, this is caused by interrupted communication between our server and your computer. The first thing to try is to close the stuck window, clearing your browser's cache and taking the lesson again. If it still doesn't close, there may be some underlying problems. One possible issue here is that your company uses a proxy server to connect to the Internet. If this is the case, contact the IT/IS department and ask that requests to and from Lion's servers not be cached. If needed, our IP address in 64.21.6.10, and our canonical name is www.lion.com. If neither of these works, then contact Lion's IT Department immediately at (973) 383-0800 ext.119. Do not continue your course. You may not get credit for the remainder of your work.
