Operations

Your role in an emergency response scenario is to respond defensively—working
away from the release to block a potential spread of hazardous substances:
remote shut down of equipment, cover drains and vents, and more.

Initial Training

For a new employee, OSHA requires 8 hours of initial training (or “sufficient experience to demonstrate competency” in key areas).

Recommended course:

8 Hour Initial

29 CFR 1910.120(q)(6)(ii)

Refresher Training

For employees trained to this level, OSHA requires annual refresher training.

Recommended course:

4 Hour Refresher
