Hazmat Training Online

The U.S. DOT requires training for all hazmat employees who can have a direct affect on hazmat transportation safety. This includes people who:

• Assure compliance with the hazardous materials regulations
• Classify hazardous materials
• Package hazardous materials
• Mark and label hazmat packages
• Prepare and sign shipping papers
• Load the packages onto vehicles
• Drive the vehicle

Training must include general awareness, security awareness, and job-specific components. For details see the DOT Hazmat Training Standard FAQ.  If shipping by air or vessel, additional training is mandated by IATA and IMO.
