Managing Hazardous Waste in New York Public Workshop

Many components of New York's hazardous waste program are more stringent that the Federal regulations.  Managers of hazardous waste in New York must ensure their facilities comply with both U.S. EPA and NYDEC regulations. 

This workshop is designed to help personnel meet New York State's annual and update training for typical managers and supervisors at both small and large quantity generators, as required by 6 NYCRR 372.2(a)(8)(iii)(e)(3) and 373-1.1(d)(1)(iii)(c)(5) & 373-3.2(g), respectively.  Training is mandatory for all facility personnel who work at or oversee operations where hazardous waste is generated.

• Regulatory vocabulary and structure
• Waste identification
• Understanding LDRs
• Options for on-site accumulation and storage (90-day, 180-day, satellite areas)
• Special rules for managing PCBs in NY
• Managing universal waste and used oil
• Preparing the Hazardous Waste Manifest
• Recordkeeping, reporting, and training requirements

Who Should Attend:

Individuals responsible for ensuring compliance at the facility or corporate level in the State of New York, or who direct personnel training as required at 6 NYCRR 373-3.2(g).

Additional Training:
