The Dangerous Goods Trainers Association (DGTA)
will hold its Dangerous Goods Conference virtually on May 11.
As acting chairperson of the DGTA, Lion Technology Inc. Vice President Scott Dunsmore
will welcome attendees when the virtual conference begins on May 11 at 11 AM ET.
The COVID-19 pandemic caused a major shift for dangerous goods training—away from in-person seminars and workshops and toward virtual options like online courses and video conferencing.
“This past year, dangerous goods trainers had to adapt to meet demand for virtual training, and learned some important lessons long the way,” Dunsmore says. “The DGTA virtual conference gives professionals an opportunity to come together, share lessons learned, and prepare for what’s next.”
Trainer skills and lessons learned from the pandemic will be among the many topics explored during the virtual conference. Among the speakers slated to appear during the conference are long time DG trainers, industry leaders, and representatives from PHMSA and IATA.
The conference is open to both DGTA members and non-members. More information about the Virtual Dangerous Goods Conference is available on DGTA’s website (www.dgta.org
