On May 7, an early morning gas leak from a polymer manufacturing facility in southern India killed 12 people and hospitalized at least 350 more. Thousands in the community woke that morning to itchy eyes and difficulty breathing.

2.5M Pounds of Radioactive Fracking Waste Illegally Dumped at Oregon Landfill

A hazardous waste facility near Arlington, Oregon has been put on notice for allegedly dumping over 2.5 million pounds of radioactive fracking waste at its landfill, according to the Oregon Department of Energy (ODOE). Oregon law prohibits disposal of radioactive waste in the state.

New PHMSA Video Warns Against Refilling DOT-39 Cylinders

Citing refilling of a DOT-39 cylinder as the cause of a fatal 2016 coffee-stand explosion in Everett, Washington, PHMSA urges businesses and consumers to use DOT-39 cylinders once and only once.
If you don’t know if your cylinder is refillable, contact an authorized refiller.
