CSB Issues Update on Ohio Paint Factory Explosion That Killed One

According to CSB, the facility was conducting its alkyd resin manufacturing process during the early morning hours of April 8 when an accidental release occurred at about 12:02 am.

EPA Enforcement Roundup: Week of 8/3

In this week's Roundup, a chemical manufacturer has agreed to a $3.1 million settlement to remmediate a facility in Texas that was the site of an accidental release in 2014. Plus, a New England industrial coating facility faces $317,000 in Clean Air Act violations.

Final Rule Alert: CSB Chemical Accident Reporting Rule

Update: CSB's Final Rule on reporting accidental releases takes effect on March 23, 2020. The new regulation requires owners or operators of chemical facilities to report on accidental releases.
