EPA Suspends Support Services Amid Shutdown

Facing a shutdown of operations due to a lack of appropriations, the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) will suspend its support for the new electronic Manifest (e-Manifest) system and the RCRAinfo portal used by hazardous waste generators, transporters, and treatment, storage, and disposal facilities (TSDFs). The suspension begins at 12:00 AM tonight (December 28).

Both the e-manifest system and the RCRAInfo system will continue to run and be available.
But US EPA personnel who provide support services will not be available until the shutdown ends.

As part of this suspension of service, all e-manifest or other EPA webinars will be postponed. The e-Manifest paper processing center will continue to accept paper manifests. However, no employees will enter the data into the computer system until the shutdown is over.
