What is the “California Generator Improvements Rule”?

In 2024, California substantially revised the state hazardous waste laws and regulations, adopting new and stricter requirements from a US EPA Final Rule called the Generator Improvements Rule. That Federal rule took effect May 30, 2017.

California’s new and revised hazardous waste regulations are in effect as of July 1, 2024.
