To help EHS professionals in California secure up-to-date training for hazardous waste personnel, Lion just launched the new online course Storing & Shipping Hazardous Waste in California—Ops.

Designed to help satisfy RCRA/Title 22 and US DOT training mandates for hands-on personnel, this course covers what employees in California must know to properly handle hazardous waste on-site and prepare waste shipments in compliance with 49 CFR. This California-specific training is built for operations personnel like waste handlers, equipment operators, maintenance workers, production personnel, and lab employees.  

US EPA and California DTSC require annual training for hazardous waste personnel (40 CFR 262.17 and 22 CCR 66262.34 & 66265.16.

For hazmat employees involved in preparing shipments, US DOT requires hazmat training once every 3 years (49 CFR 172.704)
