Final Los Angeles Workshops Start Next Week

Posted on 9/5/2023 by Lion Technology Inc.

Strengthen your grip on the hazmat and waste management regulations for facilities in California. Lion presents live, expert-led hazmat and RCRA/Title 22 training one last time in Los Angeles this year.

Training in Los Angeles kicks off next week on September 11—12 with the California Hazardous Waste Management Workshop. Join us for two days of in-depth training required annually for hazardous waste personnel.

Develop the expertise to identify, store, and dispose of regulated hazardous wastes in full compliance with California and Federal laws and regulations. Plus, catch up on planned changes from the DTSC that will add new, stricter RCRA rules into the State regulations (22 CCR) and the Health and Safety Code (HSC).

Los Angeles Hazmat Shipper Training

On September 13—14, attend the two-day Hazmat Ground Shipper Certification (DOT) Workshop trusted by shippers nationwide to help satisfy DOT hazmat training mandates and discover the essentials for compliance with the 49 CFR Hazardous Materials Regulations (HMR), step by step. US DOT requires training for all "hazmat employees" at least once every 3 years in 49 CFR 172.704.

For hazmat/dangerous goods air shippers, the IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations (DGR) require training for employees every 24 months [IATA DGR 1.5]. Once you have a strong grip on the US hazmat regulations, stay for the one-day Hazmat Air Shipper Certification (IATA) Workshop to learn the unique, additional restrictions you must know to ship hazmat by air with most major carriers.

Visit Lion.com/CA for details about the final workshops in Los Angeles next week—and in San Jose on September 18—21!
