Generator Improvements: EPA Moves RCRA Hazardous Waste Training Standard

Under its Generator Improvements Rule, which is now final and takes effect in May 2017, US EPA is re-organizing certain parts of the requirements for hazardous waste generators in 40 CFR. In its Hazardous Waste Generator Improvements Rule, signed for publication in the Federal Register on October 28, 2016, US EPA clarified a key piece of enforcement policy. In the preamble to the Final Rule, EPA draws a distinction between the “independent requirements” of the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) and the “conditions for exemption” in the RCRA rules.
