OSHA Extends Beryllium Compliance Dates for Certain General Industry Ancillary Provisions
OSHA has published a Final Rule to extend the compliance dates for “certain ancillary requirements” of its beryllium exposure worker protections issued in January 2017. The compliance deadline for ancillary provisions—including requirements for personal protective equipment and clothing, hazard communication, and recordkeeping—is now December 12, 2018.7/26/2018

Undeclared Lithium Batteries Result in $160,500 FAA Hazmat Fine
US FAA issued a six-figure fine for a Hong Kong company that allegedly shipped lithium batteries, undeclared, by air. Besides failing to properly classify, name, package, mark, label or document the shipment, the company also did not provide requried hazmat training for employees, according to FAA.7/16/2018

The US Army Corps of Engineers (COE) and US EPA issued a supplemental notice of proposed rulemaking on July 12, 2018 to provide regulatory support and clarification regarding the Agencies’ 2017 proposal to repeal changes made to the definition of “Waters of the United States” (WOTUS) under the previous administration in 2015.7/16/2018
EPA to Set New MCLs for PFOA and PFOS
