Know Your EPA Water Rules: Sole Source Aquifers
The Safe Drinking Water Act Amendments of 1986 (SDWA) required the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to establish criteria through which an aquifer may be declared a critical aquifer protection area. These aquifers are colloquially referred to as “sole source aquifers.” These are, essentially, aquifers that are the only drinking water supply for the population of a region.

New RCRA Exclusions: Generator-Controlled Reclamation
When the EPA promulgated changes to its definition of solid waste on January 13, 2015, the Agency created several new exclusions for certain types of hazardous secondary material reclamation. This is the first in a series of articles, where we will examine each of these new exclusions. Today, we examine the exclusion for “generator-controlled” reclamation.
