2/18/2020Update: CSB's Final Rule on reporting accidental releases takes effect on March 23, 2020. The new regulation requires owners or operators of chemical facilities to report on accidental releases.
10/4/2016US EPA reported this week that a Carson, California facility that produces sulfuric acid for refineries will pay a $106,000 civil penalty following a release of sulfur dioxide that hospitalized eleven people working at neighboring sites.
