NJ Passes Bill to Protect At-Risk Communities from Pollution

On September 18, New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy signed legislation that would require NJ Department of Environmental Protection to consider the environmental and public health impacts certain operations would have on “overburdened” communities.

From March 10 to March 16, Watershed Ambassadors rallied AmeriCorps alumni and members of the public to transform their community through cleanups, plantings, workshops, and more. Volunteers successfully carried out half a dozen programs.
