December Hazmat Training in Chicago, St. Louis, & more!

To help shippers protect personnel and maintain full compliance with the latest hazmat transportation regulations, Lion will present the Complete Multimodal Hazmat Shipper Certification Workshops in Midwest US cities starting next week. US DOT requires all hazmat employees to complete training within 90 days of hire, and repeat hazmat training once every 3 years.

With 2017 only weeks away, shippers face changing 49 CFR hazmat regulations—including major updates finalized by PHMSA this year. Hazmat shipping mistakes are now more costly than ever: PHMSA raised its penalties for hazmat shipping violations this year from $75,000 per day, per violation to $77,114 per day, per violation.



Failure to provide hazmat training for employee is now punishable by a $463 fine per employee, per day.

IATA DGR Air Shipper Training

Compliance with IATA’s 58^th Edition Dangerous Goods Regulations (DGR) is mandatory as of January 1, 2017. Following the two-day ground shipper workshop, stay for one day of training on the 2017 IATA/ICAO air shipping requirements in Pittsburgh on December 7, St. Louis on December 9, and Chicago on December 14. Build on your 49 CFR expertise and learn the latest IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations (2017) to ensure the safe transport of dangerous goods by air.  
 

IMDG Code Training for Ocean Shippers
