Earn LSRP Credit: Two Online Courses Approved by SRPLB

Posted on 11/25/2019 by Roger Marks

To help New Jersey Licensed Site Remediation Professionals (LSRPs) earn the continuing education needed to maintain the LSRP license, Lion Technology recently sought and received approval for two self-paced online courses.

Now, New Jersey LSRPs can earn credit toward their license when they complete hazardous materials or RCRA hazardous waste training at Lion.com.

Recurrent DOT Hazmat Ground Shipper Certification Online Course
Approved for: 7 regulatory CECs.

RCRA Hazardous Waste Management Refresher Online Course
Approved for: 7 technical CECs.

DOT Hazmat Shipper Certification Training for LSRPs

The Recurrent Hazmat Ground Shipper Certification online course guides hazardous materials professionals through a step-by-step process to navigate and apply the latest 49 CFR Hazardous Materials Regulations (HMR).

The course covers how to identify and classifying materials to selecting authorized packaging, marking and labeling packages, and completing shipping documentation. This hazmat online course is designed to help satisfy US DOT PHMSA hazmat training requirements found in 49 CFR 172.704.

RCRA Hazardous Waste Training for LSRPs

The RCRA Hazardous Waste Management Refresher online course provides annually required refresher training for hazardous waste personnel (see 40 CFR 262.17). The online course covers how to identify and safely store regulated hazardous wastes and universal wastes. It also guides personnel on how to comply with EPA’s Land Disposal Restrictions to ensure proper treatment and safe disposal of hazardous waste.

In addition, the course is updated to cover major revisions to the RCRA regulations under EPA’s 2016 Generator Improvements Rule.

5 Total Courses for Approved for LSRP Credit

The two online courses are the newest additions to Lion’s LSRP-approved courses, which also include three workshops presented at Lion’s Training Center in Sparta, NJ:

Recurrent Hazmat Ground Shipper Certification (DOT) Workshop
RCRA Hazardous Waste Management Refresher Workshop
Complete Environmental Regulations Workshop

What’s Required for LSRPs?
The New Jersey SRPL Board requires LSRPs to earn 36 continuing education credits during each three-year license term, including at least 10 regulatory CECs.
