Who needs this 40 Hour HAZWOPER (Site Cleanup) training?
General site workers (i.e., equipment operators, general laborers, and supervisors) who work at an uncontrolled hazardous waste site and perform voluntary or required hazardous substances cleanup.
Additional HAZWOPER training required
General site workers must complete 40 hours of initial HAZWOPER training and complete a minimum of three days of actual field experience under direct supervision of a trained, experienced supervisor.
This course is designed to meet the 40-hour training requirement only and does not include hands-on training on equipment or PPE that personnel may need to begin work at uncontrolled hazardous waste sites.
