Superfund and Right-to-Know Act Regulations (EPCRA/CERCLA)

Course Code: ENV 303

Description
When you work with hazardous waste or hazardous chemicals, keeping workers and the public protected from emergency releases is a crucial responsibility. As part of this responsibility, facilities must meet exacting reporting and record keeping standards under two major EPA programs--the Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act (EPCRA) and the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA).

These programs also require facilities to periodically assess and report their inventories of hazardous chemicals to the public, in order to better prevent and prepare for emergency releases.

This online course guides you through the EPCRA and CERCLA emergency preparedness and reporting requirements you must know to maintain compliance. Failure to properly report and keep records of hazardous chemical releases can lead to fines as high as $53,907 per day, per violation.
