HazCom: Compressed Gases

Course Code: OSH 203

Description
Employees who work with or around compressed gases must complete safety training under OSHA’s Hazard Communication rules at 29 CFR 1900.1200(h). US DOT also requires hazmat safety training for all “hazmat employees” who may be exposed to compressed gases on the job (49 CFR 172.704(a)(3)).

This 35-minute, self-paced online safety course guides employees through to the process of identifying compressed gas hazards using available information: marks and labels, Safety Data Sheets, GHS labels, and more. Employees learn keys to hazard control, safe chemical storage, fire prevention, and emergency response.
