New TSCA Online Course Now Available

Posted on 8/15/2012 by Lion Staff

In 2012, more companies became subject to the U.S. EPA’s TSCA regulations with a recent change to the Chemical Data Reporting (CDR) rules.  Many companies that have never before submitted CDR reports or followed specific management standards for their chemicals are required to do so this year.

The Toxic Substances Control Act is complex and enforcement is stringent, making a comprehensive understanding of the TSCA rules critical for compliance.  The law has broad applicability, subjecting all companies that “manufacture, use, process, distribute, import, or export chemical products” to complex reporting and management requirements.

To provide complete training on both reporting data and managing chemicals under TSCA, Lion recently launched the TSCA Regulations Online Course.

Topics covered in this 3.5-hour online course include: chemical-specific management standards (including PCBs), understanding the TSCA Inventory, chemical data reporting (Form U), Pre-manufacture Notice (PMN) for new chemicals, PAIR reporting, Significant New Uses and the SNUR, import and export notifications (EPA and U.S. Customs), TSCA recordkeeping, and more.

Make sure you’re meeting your TSCA chemical management and reporting responsibilities. Sign up now for the online course: www.Lion.com/TSCA-Regulations or call 888-546-6511 to speak with a regulatory expert.
