New Online Course: Superfund and Right-to-Know Act Regulations

Posted on 2/14/2017 by Roger Marks

Lion Technology this month launched a new online course to help EHS managers ensure compliance with the complex, overlapping EPA chemical reporting requirements under the Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act (EPCRA) and the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA/Superfund).

The Superfund and Right-to-Know Act Regulations Online Course includes interactive exercises and an Ask the Instructor feature to help you learn more and retain your new knowledge. Knowing your responsibilities under EPCRA and CERCLA can make the difference between future liability and costly fines for failure to make timely reports (now as high as $53,907 per day, per violation).

Understanding when and why these EPA reporting programs impact your facility helps ensure your local community and first responders have the information needed to respond effectively to a release or incident at your site. In the event of a spill, you must know when and how quickly to notify first responders, the National Response Center, and other interested parties.
