IATA Launches DG AutoCheck to Verify the Hazmat Shipper’s Declaration

Posted on 3/23/2018 by Roger Marks

The International Air Transport Association (IATA) Plane_on_tarmac_loading_boxes_299178752.jpgrecently launched a new digital tool to help air carriers verify compliance with the IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations (DGR).

Called DG AutoCheck, the new tool checks the Shipper’s Declaration and the packaging, markings, and labels against the latest edition of the DGR.  Ground handlers and airlines can use the tool--which IATA says will include a pictorial representation of a compliant package--during physical inspection and package acceptance check.

Learn the latest IATA DGR standards to keep your DG air shipments in full compliance at the Hazmat Air Shipper Certification Workshop in Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Denver, Kansas City, and North NJ in April.

It seems that already crucial steps in the shipping process like documenting, marking, and labeling air consignments properly will now be even more important. A computerized system could be unforgiving for shippers, leading to rejection for the smallest mistakes.

Best course instructor I've ever had. Funny, relatable, engaging; made it interesting and challenged us as the professionals we are.

Amanda Schwartz

I was able to present my scenario to the instructor and worked thru the regulations together. In the past, I attended another training firm's classes. Now, I have no intention of leaving Lion!

Diana Joyner

Given the choice, I would do all coursework this way. In-person courses go very fast without the opportunity to pause or repeat anything.

I have been to other training companies, but Lion’s material is much better and easier to understand.
