President Issues Executive Order to Slash Regulations
An Executive Order issued by the Office of the President on January 30, 2017 calls for a reduction in the number of Federal regulations impacting US businesses. Specifically, the executive order calls for two existing regulations to be repealed for each new regulation created.

Generator Improvements: EPA Moves RCRA Hazardous Waste Training Standard
Under its Generator Improvements Rule, which is now final and takes effect in May 2017, US EPA is re-organizing certain parts of the requirements for hazardous waste generators in 40 CFR. Among the many, many changes to the hazardous waste generator rules is the relocation of the RCRA training standards.

RCRA Generator Improvements: EPA Hazardous Waste Enforcement Policy
In its Hazardous Waste Generator Improvements Rule, signed for publication in the Federal Register on October 28, 2016, US EPA clarified a key piece of enforcement policy. In the preamble to the Final Rule, EPA draws a distinction between the “independent requirements” of the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) and the “conditions for exemption” in the RCRA rules.
