In this week's Roundup, a Wisconsin waste management facility is ordered to pay a $232K fine after the alleged improper disposal of electric arc furnace dust. Plus, EPA cited over 2,100 alleged violations of the Clean Water Act at a seafood processing facility, resulting in a $190K penalty.

Herbicide Manufacturer Settles Glyphosate Suits for $10B

The maker of Roundup has announced a settlement to pay over $10 billion to resolve approximately 95,000 claims linking the herbicide to cases of non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma.

On June 22, 2020, US EPA promulgated a Final Rule to add 172 per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances to the list of toxic chemicals subject to reporting under section 313 of the Emergency Planning and Community Right to Know Act (EPCRA).
