Final Rule: PFOA, PFOS Listed as Superfund Substances

Update 05/08/24: Effective July 8, 2024, the substances PFOA and PFOS are listed as hazardous substances under CERCLA, each with a reportable quantity (RQ) of 1 pound.

TSCA Update: Revised Chemical Risk Determinations

Update April 2024: Part 2 of EPA's risk evaluation for asbestos addresses legacy uses and related disposals. EPA is required by a consent order to finalize Part 2 before 12/01/24. A draft is available for review.

Update: EPA Bans Ongoing Uses of Asbestos

US EPA announced the prohibition of ongoing uses of chrysoltile asbestos with a Final Rule on March 18, 2024.
