OSHA has finalized a rulemaking to rescind the requirement for employers with 250 or more employees to electronically report injury and illness data from OSHA Forms 300 and 301. Electronic submission of data from OSHA Form 300A will still be required.
This month, the US Senate passed a joint resolution to disapprove of OSHA’s Final Rule to make accurate recordkeeping of workplace injury and illness an “ongoing obligation.”
In order to obtain more information about workplace injuries and illness, OSHA would like to require establishments with more than 250 employees that are already keeping OSH 300 logs to submit copies of their 300 and 301 forms each year.
