Oregon OSHA Proposes Heat Illness Prevention Rule

To better protect workers in the state from climate-related hazards, Oregon OSHA proposed requirements for employers concerning heat illness prevention. The announcement comes shortly after US OSHA announced its own plans to create a Federal standard for occupational heat exposure safety.

One of the largest delivery companies in the world has been fined $13,260 by OSHA for allegedly exposing one of its drivers to excessive heat, requiring immediate medical care.
