EPA Raises Penalties for Environmental Noncompliance

US EPA published a Final Rule on February 6, 2019 to raise civil penalties for noncompliance with environmental regulations. The new penalty figures apply to all violations that occur(ed) after November 2, 2015, for which penalties are assessed on or after February 6, 2019.

We'll cover major EPA programs with the broadest impact below, starting with penalties for RCRA hazardous waste management violations. which rose by nearly $2000.
