EPA Proposes New TSCA SNURs for 8 Chemical Substances

Posted on 6/17/2019 by Roger Marks

On June 11, US EPA proposed Significant New Use Rules or SNURs for eight chemical substances under the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA).

A Significant New Use Rule requires chemical industry facilities to notify EPA 90 days prior to commencing any manufacture, processing, or import designated as a “new use” by the rule. SNURs also restrict how and where these chemical substances may be manufactured, processed, imported, and/or used.

New to TSCA compliance? Get comfortable with the many chemical manufacturing, management, and inventory reporting requirements you must know to achieve compliance. The TSCA Regulations Online Course guides you through what you need to know to identify and meet your responsibilities.
