NY to Add Right to a Clean Environment to State Constitution

NY voters approved a measure on November 2 to revise the New York Constitution’s Bill of Rights to add the right to clean air, clean water, and a healthy environment. The measure was included in the State’s local election as one of five referendum questions on the ballot.

Plus, EPA settles with an Arizona cold storage facility for $124K over alleged violations of chemical accident prevention regulations.

Cookie Company Fined $221K for OSHA Violations

Last month, OSHA issued a $221,257 penalty to a New York biscotti manufacturer for allegedly exposing its workers to falls and forklift hazards among other safety violations.
