Hazmat Ground & Vessel Shipper Training (Lion.com/Hazmat)
The US Hazardous Materials Regulations (HMR) require training at least every three years for "hazmat employees," whose actions affect hazmat transportation safety (49 CFR 172.704). For vessel or ocean shippers, the IMDG Code regulations defer to US DOT's three-year re-training rule.
Hazmat Air Shipper Training (Lion.com/Hazmat)
To ship hazmat/dangerous goods by aircraft with most major carriers, shippers must comply with all requirements of the IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations or "DGR." The IATA DGR requires training every 24 months for employees who prepare, handle, or offer air shipments.
Hazardous Waste Management Training (Lion.com/RCRA)
US EPA requires annual training for hazardous waste personnel at large quantity generator facilities (40 CFR 262.17(a)(7)).
OSHA HAZWOPER Training (Lion.com/HAZWOPER)
Many OSHA Standards require training and annual re-training for employees, including the HAZWOPER Standard in 29 CFR Part 1910.120 for hazmat emergency responders (e.g., hazmat technicians and others) and employees performing cleanup at sites contaminated with hazardous substances.
