This week in Arlington, VA, US EPA’s Hazardous Waste Electronic Manifest System Advisory Board will meet to discuss and plan for the implementation of the e-Manifest system.

The meeting will run for 3 days, from January 10–12, according to EPA’s announcement in the Federal Register last month.

Appointed in March 2016, the Hazardous Waste e-Manifest Advisory Board is tasked with advising US EPA on the development of the electronic manifest system, including a fee schedule, system performance, hazmat and hazardous waste regulations, and other considerations. The Board is comprised of experts from State environmental agencies and private industry.

EPA hazardous waste electronic manifestEPA has announced that the e-Manifest meeting “may be webcast” and that information about a webcast (if there is one) will be available on the dedicated e-Manifest webpage at EPA.gov.
EPA’s e-Manifest page also includes a useful FAQ, a list of the e-Manifest Board Members, links to relevant regulatory activities, and more.

Lion News will continue to report on significant developments regarding the development and implementation of, and the eventual transition to, electronic hazardous waste manifests.
