Posted on 9/20/2016 by Roger Marks

Need a good reason to visit Las Vegas?
How about two reasons?

Lion Technology’s trusted compliance workshops will be in Las Vegas next month to help hazmat shippers and EHS managers keep their sites in compliance with new and changing US DOT and US EPA regulations. Led by full-time instructors and attended by industry managers and personnel who face the same challenges as you, these upcoming workshops will help you build on your expertise; earn CEUs; and avoid costly DOT and EPA fines, penalties, and remediation projects.

EPA Regulations Training in Las Vegas

On October 3-4, Lion will present the Complete Environmental Regulations Workshop at the Hilton Garden Inn on the Las Vegas strip. The workshop is designed to help EHS managers identify and understand the many environmental programs that affect industry—from the Clean Air and Clean Water Acts to EPCRA, TSCA, CERCLA, RCRA, and more.

Whether you’re new to environmental compliance or you’ve been at it for decades, this workshop will get you up to speed with the latest EPA rules you must know. You will build the expertise and confidence to make the big decisions that keep your site in compliance. Plus, you will know what questions you need to ask back at work to keep site environmental compliance on the right track.

At the Hazardous Materials Transportation Certification Workshop, you will build a step-by-step approach to keeping hazmat ground shipments in compliance. We cover everything from classifying your materials and selecting authorized packaging to choosing the right marks and labels and filling out shipping papers. Plus, learn how to meet your DOT reporting, recordkeeping, and employee training responsibilities.

New US DOT rules for hazmat shipments are set to take effect on January 1, 2017. Designed to meet initial or recurrent DOT training mandates at 49 CFR 172.704, this expert-led workshop will help you prevent rejected shipments and avoid civil penalties now as high as $77,114 per day, per violation.
