Posted on 9/28/2021 by Roger Marks

US DOT PHMSA’s Office of Hazardous Materials Safety (OHMS) will host a virtual Research, Development & Technology Forum on October 12-15, 2021.

During the Forum, PHMSA will present the results of recently completed projects and a brief summary of new project plans. The Office of Hazardous Materials Safety (OHMS) announced the meeting in the September 23 Federal Register.

Hazardous materials professionals and others who would like to attend should complete the online pre-registration form. Meeting details

OHMS is most interested in comments and information concerning:

  • Research gaps associated with explosives characterization and transport,
  • Safe transportation of energy products like crude oil,
  • Containment and transportation of compressed gases, and
  • Packaging requirements for lithium-ion batteries and related devices.

OHMS is also interested in other research gaps related to the transportation of hazardous materials.

More thorough than a class I attended last year through another company.

Excellent. I learned more in two days with Lion than at a 5-day program I took with another provider.

Excellent class, super instructor, very easy to follow. No rushing through material. Would like to take his class again.

These are the best classes I attend each year. I always take something away and implement improvements at my sites.

Best course instructor I've ever had. Funny, relatable, engaging; made it interesting and challenged us as the professionals we are.

Amanda Schwartz

The course was very well structured and covered the material in a clear, concise manner.

Ian Martinez

Lion's course was superior to others I have taken in the past. Very clear in the presentation and the examples helped to explain the content presented.

George Bersik

These are the best commercial course references I have seen (10+ years). Great job!

Ed Grzybowski

I tried other environmental training providers, but they were all sub-standard compared to Lion. I will not stray from Lion again!
