25K Barrels Possibly Containing DDT Found Off California Coast
Last month, marine scientists identified as many as 25,000 barrels believed to contain dichlorodiphenyltrichloroethane, better known as DDT, in the Pacific Ocean. The hazardous waste barrels were discovered on the ocean floor between Catalina Island and the Los Angeles coast.

TCEQ has released projected milestone dates for a rulemaking that will adopt three updates made to the RCRA hazardous waste regulations by US EPA between 2015 and 2018—including the landmark Generator Improvements Rule.

Florida Wastewater Pond Collapse Could Result in 20-ft.-high Floodwaters
Update 4/6: The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers released new data showing a diminished risk for an uncontrolled breach of water from Piney Point. The local evacuation order has been lifted. Residents and local businesses near Piney Point are asked to return home. Although some roadways have opened to thru traffic, Buckeye Rd. is closed until further notice.
