Texas to Start Adopting RCRA Generator Improvements This Summer

In Summer 2018, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) Office of Industrial and Hazardous Waste (I&HW) will begin the internal process of adopting EPA’s “Generator Improvements” into Texas’ I&HW regulations.

California to Update Underground Storage Tank Program

At a June 5 Board meeting, the California State Water Board proposed bolstering California’s Underground Storage Tank program requirements to bring the State program up to date with revised Federal UST rules. US EPA revised its UST program (40 CFR 280) in July 2015. The new EPA UST requirements take full effect in October 2018.

Final Rule Alert: NPEs Added to EPCRA TRI Reporting

US EPA promulgated a Final Rule on June 12, 2018 to add a category for nonylphenol ethoxylates (NPEs) to the reporting requirements in Section 313 of the Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act (EPCRA).
