EPA Ready to Repeal Clean Power Plan
US EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt on October 10 signed a proposed Rule to repeal the Clean Power Plan, a 2015 EPA rulemaking that set state-specific, rate-based limits on greenhouse gases emitted from electricity generating units, or EGUs (i.e., power plants).

PHMSA Waives HMR Requirements for Hurricane Maria Disaster Areas
The US DOT Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA) last week issued emergency Hazardous Materials Regulations (HMR) compliance waivers for persons performing recovery or cleanup work in Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands under the direction of US EPA Region 2 or the US Coast Guard.
