EPA Adds 7 Superfund Sites to National Priorities List
US EPA today announced the addition of seven sites to its National Priorities List (NPL)—the list of sites designated for cleanup under the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA), also called “Superfund.”

OSHA Launches Injury and Illness E-Reporting Portal
As of August 1, a new OSHA Injury Tracking Application is available to help employers meet their obligations for electronic reporting of injury and illness data. Employers covered under this new requirement have until December 1, 2017 to submit data from OSHA Forms 300 and/or 300A.

New RCRA Contingency Plan Rules for Satellite Areas and Emergencies
One of the new, more stringent RCRA requirements that your state must adopt from EPA's "Generator Improvements Rule" is that containers managed under the “satellite” rules will have to be included in all preparedness, prevention, and emergency procedures at both small and large quantity generator locations. 2 Final Rules: EPA Ready to Start TSCA Chemical Evaluations
US EPA last week posted two Final Rules to the Federal Register that describe how the Agency will carry out its responsibilities for prioritizing and evaluating chemical substances as required under the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA), as amended by the Frank R. Lautenberg Chemical Safety for the 21st Century Act.
